# Weapons

<figure><img src="/files/n9UcYaQY5KcjWv9yWczs" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

The galaxy is filled with a vast array of weapon systems. Some are familiar and well-understood, forged from humanity's long military history. Others are far deadlier and more advanced, crafted in distant colonies, pirate dens, or by alien civilizations. There are even rare, almost mystical weapons that are incredibly difficult for an ordinary pilot to master.

Weapons are primarily divided into three major categories:

* **Cannons**
* **Missile Launchers**
* **Mine Deployers\Launchers**

Specialized systems, often of alien origin—such as various beam weapons and other unique devices—may belong to a separate hybrid category or combine aspects of the primary ones.

All weaponry in the galaxy is classified into seven distinct rarity tiers:\ <mark style="color:$warning;">**Common**</mark>**,&#x20;**<mark style="color:$success;">**Uncommon**</mark>**,&#x20;**<mark style="color:blue;">**Rare**</mark>**,&#x20;**<mark style="color:yellow;">**Epic**</mark>**,&#x20;**<mark style="color:purple;">**Legendary**</mark>**,&#x20;**<mark style="color:red;">**Mythical**</mark>**, and&#x20;**<mark style="background-color:orange;">**Shadow.**</mark>

Equipping a weapon is only half the battle; you must also secure the correct ammunition for it. Standard munitions are readily available for purchase at most space stations. However, ammunition for exotic or alien weapons is far more scarce—search for such specialized goods on pirate stations or the black market.

Each weapon is defined by a set of key statistics, including:

* **Damage**
* **Projectile Speed**
* **Blast Radius**
* **Explosive Force**

To survive and triumph in space combat, you must internalize these properties. Understanding your weapon's strengths and weaknesses at an instinctual level is the key to victory against the diverse threats lurking in the void.
