# Real-Time Space Combat

If you've grown wealthy from space mining and equipped your ship with weapons and a Deflector Shield, you are ready to test your mettle in **real-time space combat**. These encounters offer the potential for greater rewards in less time than standard mining operations.

Within planetary systems, unstable, anomalous wormholes frequently appear, leading to unpredictable combat zones. **Dare to enter one, and you'll find yourself thrust directly into the heart of the action.** Be aware: **each such jump consumes a significant amount of your ship's precious fuel.**

**Survival & Combat Strategy**

1. **Stealth & Opportunity:** Upon arrival, use stealth to remain undetected for as long as possible. Use this time to mine any exposed resources.
2. **Engagement:** Once detected, you must fight. Use your full arsenal, agility, and tactical cunning to destroy the enemy.
3. **Loot:** A defeated foe leaves behind a field of valuable debris. Scan it with your mining beam—you may find rare resources, intact devices, alien systems, or even Artifacts.

**Escape:** To return to the main system (or retreat from a fight), you must wait for a return anomaly to appear. The initial jump consumes ship fuel, but the calculated return path does not.

**Threats:** These zones are fraught with immense danger. You could face **Pirates, Raiders, Aggressive Xenofauna, Alien Threats**, or other unknown perils of the deep void.

**Risk vs. Reward:** Skilled captains often prefer these high-stakes raids over routine mining, but the losses can be catastrophic.

Think twice before committing. Keep a cool head. In these missions, you stand to **lose far more than you could ever gain**.
